I spent the last month in Southeast Alaska visiting the towns of Kake, Sitka, and Juneau filming part one of the documentary series, "Native Past, American Present", a look at how Native/Indigenous communities are holding on to their traditions, culture and identity, and the challenges that go along with these efforts.
